"My Life Is Just Like Sex And The City" says girl whose life is nothing like Sex And The City

TOPEKA, Kansas - Local accounts-payable clerk Sandra Randall has repeatedly told her friends, family, and anyone who would listen that her life is just like the HBO TV Series (and now major motion picture) Sex And The City . This is despite the fact that her life bears little resemblance to anything that has ever been on the show.

"My girlfriends and I hang out and talk about men and our problems just like the girls on the show do" says Sandra, even though the Sex And The City characters have their discussions at posh Manhattan cafes and restaurants, while Sandra hangs out with her friends at TGI Friday's off the Interstate. Also, it was revealed that the "men" Sandra's friends talk about tend to be the same fifteen guys who they've hung out with since high school.

When pressed to provide more specific examples of the similarity, Sandra cites that she has a friend who sleeps with a lot of men, just like Sex And The City character Samantha. As Sandra elaborated, it became clear that all of her friends sleep with a lot of men, as there is not much more to do in the suburbs of Topeka.

"Sometimes I'm a total Carrie, but other times I think I'm a Charlotte" Sandra went on to lie. Local residents note that even a cursory glance at Sandra would indicate that she is just another semi-alcholic townie, and has absolutely nothing in common with the show's sophisticated Manhattanites, save perhaps the possession of a vagina.

"I was watching the show and I said 'My God! That's just like the conversation I had the other night with the girls!" When again pressed for details, Sandra revealed that the conversation on the show involved the high-stakes world of magazine publishing, while Sandra's conversation was about the prospect of a Cold Stone Creamery opening in town.
